Course Description

Introduction to morphology and grammar of New Testament Greek. Alphabet, rules of accents, conjugation, declension, forms of tenses, moods, other grammatical aspects, and basic vocabulary.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: 

  1. Read simple passages from the Greek New Testament and translate them into English.
  2. Identity forms of verbs and nouns frequently used in the Greek New Testament so that they can be looked up in a NT Greek lexicon (dictionary).
  3. Acquire a vocabulary of the most frequently used words in the Greek New Testament
  4. Understanding of the basic morphology, grammar, vocabulary, and syntax of the Greek New Testament.
