Task

In-Class Participation

Each student is expected to be at every class session unless providentially hindered. Class Attendance and Participation (contribution to discussions and presentation of a paper) carry 10 % of the grade.

Task

Research Paper.

The student will prepare an 8-10 page term paper on a revivalist (and their movement) of their choice. Suggestions for a revivalist to write on include, but are not limited to: ·     Johann Arndt

The Research counts for 20 % of the grade.

Task

Book Reading and Synopsis

The student will read ‘The Ten Greatest Revivals Ever’ and (using Towns material) will prepare a 5-7 minute oral summary/report of one of the ten revivals covered. Turn in Report due 30 days after class. The Report carries 5% of the grade.

Task

Practice of Revival Prayer

Each student is to set up a prayer team, to pray daily (at least 60 minutes) for 30 days continuously or once a week for 15 weeks, to pray for spiritual awakening.

A Progress report in the form of a Prayer Diary/Journal, to be submitted to the professor/lecturer after 30 days, carries 5% of the grade.

Task

Final Exam.

The final exam will be comprehensive (essay). The exam counts for 60 percent of the grade.

Task

Extra Assignment as part of Final examination:

The student will research and develop a revival timeline that includes the following information about as many revivals/renewals as can be discovered: date, location/region, key proponent(s), and key characteristics/summary.
